Welcome to Hack & Harvest! Initially made for the Godot Wild Jam #93, Hack & Harvest blends Farming, Idle Game, and RPG elements to create a quirky and enjoyable experience!
At the current moment, the game is a work in progress, but we plan to continue polishing and developing after the game jam's end date!
Farm, Fight, and Shop is the core gameplay loop of Hack&Harvest! Grow a selection of plants, and when it's time to harvest, initiate combat with the fertilized fiends of your making. Once defeated, use the funds from your (hopefully) bountiful harvest to buy seeds and equipment to aid you in your conquest of cultivation!
The seeds at your disposal can grow a variety of crops! The small but plentiful Blueberries, the bug eyed Corn, the rough and addictive Tobacco, the emotional Whineapple, and the chivalrous PeaKnight are all crops you'll have to face when it comes time to harvest!
When it's time to harvest your crops and claim nature's bounty, that's when it's time to fight! Choose to either use your Block, Light Attack, or Heavy Attack. Be careful though! Your flora foes will be granted the same choices! Each action has its own strengths, and weaknesses, and it's in your best interest to take advantage of them!
Once your harvest is done, stop by the shop to pick up seeds, which will allow you to grow more plants, as well as a variety of items and weapons! Weed Killer, Shotguns, Revolvers, Solar Panels, and other options will be available for purchase to aid you for your next harvest.
